Here are some shots of our group work

term 2 week 5, Aaron Mohan

We faced numerous problems such as lack of materials as well as problems such as planning. The prototype was not cut properly thus it had to be redone. Apart from that, the product is still being constantly redone due to problems like improper cutting of the cardboard let to numerous problems. I contributed by buying most of the materials and planning the product. I also helped reconstruct it.

Lesson 10

Group Name:_____2E group 1______________
Title of Project:_____Heal The World____________

Our Group has decided to create a product and the description of it is as follows:

Description of Product
It is a board game that will involve climate change. The game would pit four players against each other in a multiplayer game. The game takes place on a board where players have to take control of the game area by utilizing important elements and then attempt to go head to head with other players and slowly progress the player’s campaign by using government, development, industry, power and agriculture. Basically players have to draw cards and start their campaign then proceed to take control of the areas. The game will be able to incorporate teamwork or the ability to sabotage players.

Survey results

1. The survey results show that:

-People agree that board games are interesting
-People agree that board games are for all ages
-People strongly agree that climate change is important
-People agree that board games are effective in education
-People strongly agree that everyone has a part to play in climate change

-People still play board games
-People believe there is a way to prevent climate change

-People say a good board game must be interesting and fun
-People believe climate change would cause a rise in temperature and the sea level would increase as well
-People like games like monopoly and snakes and ladder

2.I find that majority of people still play board games, which is a plus point in our project.Apart from that, most people seem to be aware of climate change though they do not seem to be really understand it very well. Also, classical games like monopoly seems to be the most attractive genre of board games.

3.I will try my best to help people understand climate change properly, but by using fun and entertaining board games using the right elements, only then people will become more aware of the environment and take action to prevent climate change.

4.I intend to use the survey results to tweak the game's aspects, make it more fun and educational all, so that the game is not only interesting, but meaningful. Aside from that, using the results, we can modify the games structure and gamely to fit something more liked by the public.
